Calgary Art Supplies
It’s probably happened to everyone at some point: you ran out of paint, need a new canvas, realized you forgot to clean your brush… you run/walk/bike and, as a last resort, drive to your local art supplies store and realize they’re out of the one thing you need!
If you’re anything like me, you’re pretty much at a loss on what to do: where are the other art supply stores in Calgary? To help answer this question, I put together a list of local Calgary art supplies stores for myself one day and I thought I’d share it with you in case you ever find yourself in a similar bind.

Swinton’s Art Supplies has a large selection of art supplies and hard-to-find materials. They welcome special orders and offer free delivery on bulk orders in Calgary. In addition, they also offer a number of services ranging from full custom framing to restoration to art classes.

Cactus Art Supplies is the largest independant wholesale distributor of art supplies in Canada. I know we get a lot of artists here looking for supplies, so I thought I’d add this store to the list.

I went to Swintons art supply for some acrylics. The staff were super knowledgeable and the service was really good. And they carried Utrecht acrylics!!
