We are pretty happy to be able to announce the launch of new gallery KiCK and their first show KiCK START. KiCK is an artist-first project promoting Canadian works domestically and abroad.
KiCK is a new project which features artists from across Canada, exposing their work to a larger audience by providing unique show and marketing opportunities. KiCK provides assistance procuring grants, publicity, corporate patronage opportunities and provides studio facilities for its Calgary-based artists. This show is being thrown in conjuntion with the launch of the new website and online shop: kickgallery.ca.

KiCK is the passion project of Calgary artist and designer, Jfry Craig. Mr. Craig has presented work across North America, been featured by MODA, opened media festivals and was a featured artist as last year’s AMAAS conference.

I think there are opportunities to expose the world to Canadian art and artists that are pro-active and that embrace technology in different ways. I think that KiCK can give artists enhanced opportunities to reach new audiences with the goal of opening new doors so artists can focus on their work first and foremost.
KiCK START
The Day Dream Nation, Tim Rechner
KiCK START is a new gallery concept presenting original works by Abby Fong, John Boletta, and Tim Rechner and is presented with assistance of Trouve Gallery.
KiCK START is the first of three shows that will be put on by KiCK in 2009. KiCK START is a one day show held at the Trouve Gallery in Calgary’s distinguished Art Central facility. KiCK START will feature a specially commissioned series from illustrator and painter Abby Fong. It will also feature new large format works by Calgary artist John Boletta and noted Edmonton painter Tim Rechner.
