Call for Volunteers
The Calgary Multicultural Centre is looking for volunteers for upcoming Cultural Intersection Art Exhibition to showcase immigrant professional artists living in Alberta. Visual art, design, music and poetry will be featured.
We are currently looking for Art Exhibition Host/ Attendant. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in diverse art and culture to gain hands on experience. Art experience and education is beneficial.
Description:
Welcome visitors to the exhibition, suggest visitors to sign the guest book, answer basic questions regarding artists, their work and exhibition information, keep record of visitor count and demographic. Exhibition Hosts also serve in a pseudo-security position and help with installing and taking down exhibitions.
Required Skills:
Friendly, outgoing, positive and welcoming personality; knowledgeable with the event and CMC programs (training provided); timely, organized and responsible. The host will be knowledgeable about the collections in order to provide visitors with background information as requested (training provided).
Time Commitment:
3 -hour shifts per day during the exhibition time June 25 – July 3, Mon.-Fri. 9 am – 6 pm
