The Calgary Art Blog is looking to bring more diverse views and posts onto the blog. If you enjoy art or create art and would like to help us in drawing attention and building awareness of local art in Calgary, we’d love to have you contribute here. This is a great way to start supporting the art community in Calgary and of course to get your opinions on art out into the world!
We are looking for all types of contributors:
- Artists: to post their new work to the site and create how-tos or tutorials
- Art lovers: to report on local art events and exhibitions that they’ve attended
- Art gallery owners: to announce new exhibitions and shows and create articles on how to purchase art
- Teachers and professors: to write on various art subjects
- Anyone else who has an opinion on art!

How wonderful this site is!
You will not believe it, but this site was recommended by a friend (Artist as well) that lives in Seattle.
What a wonderful world the internet is.
I am a beginner Artist, but love Art and am still very much in the learning process.
As well, I have just begun to sell my work, slowly but steadily.
If there is anything that I can add to your content please let me know. I would love to be a part of this community.
Possibly writing about the learning process of the self-taught Artist?
(Or maybe you just use Art School grads, if so please accept my apologies for my presumption.)

For everyone else, we are definitely still looking for more contributors. In particular, if you have fantastic writing skills but don’t necessarily have a great deal of art knowledge, you can still help! As we grow the number of contributors, we will definitely need a couple editors to help with publishing!
